General Principles
Purpose of the conference
Originally started as a co-operation initiative between Japan and Finland. The practical operations were organized by professor Ohsuga in Japan and professors Hannu Kangassalo and Hannu Jaakkola in Finland (Nordic countries). Geographical scope has expanded to cover Europe and also other countries. Workshop characteristic - discussion, time enough for presentations and limited number of participants (50) / papers (30) - is typical to the conference. The papers presented in the conference are published in the Series of "Frontiers in Arificial Intelligence" by IOS Press (Amsterdam). The books "Informaton Modelling and Knowledge Bases Vol. n" are edited by the Editing Committee of the conference.
Working Principles of the Conference
- The total number of participants is limited to 50.
- The authors present their papers at the conference. The papers (both full and short) and position papers are included in the preprints.
- The final text of the papers can be polished for publication after the conference. Only actually presented papers will be published in the book.
- The final book will be published through an international publisher.
